Consequences

• First Offense= generally a warning
• Second Offense= can be removed from the classroom (placed out in the hall)
• Third Offense= call home to parents
• Fourth Offense= Detention before or after school
  • detentions are generally after school because of coaching responsibilities
  • students will report to my room unless otherwise informed
• Fifth Offense= office referral

• Homework
  • homework is assigned to help students obtain more information, prepare for a future lesson, or to extend on the information already taught.
  • homework should be neat and turned in on time
    • no late assignments accepted unless student is absent
    • "no name" homework will lose points!
  • homework should be the work of the student assigned (no "helping/cheating") unless other wise instructed

• Notebooks
  • notebooks are an important requirement in my class because the help the students remain organized
  • notebooks are generally graded twice a quarter for 50 points each
    • grades are based on
      • completion of required assignment
      • in a specific science binder/folder
      • pages are in order and have the correct page number in the lower right hand corner

• Absences
  • It is the responsibility of the students to obtain their missed work
    • lesson plans are made available to students in a binder on the marker board by the windows
    • extra worksheets are found in a basket at the front of the room
    • notes may have to be obtained from a friend or from me during non-class time
  • Test and quizzes need to be made up in a timely fashion outside of class
  • Labs generally can be made up, but some labs will require an alternate lesson or assignment
  • All work that is not made up will result in a zero for the assignment
