CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2001 READING BLUE DEVILS!!!

The Devils finished their record breaking season in fine style. They placed fifth as a team at the State Tournament. They broke several school records this weekend. The Devils qualified 7 wrestlers, had 6 wrestlers win state matches, had a state finalist for the 5th time in 6 years, and had an individual champ, 3rd and 4th place finishes.

DJ Engel finished a brilliant career by placing a strong 4th in a very difficult weight class.

Chris Seta was knock out of the championship round by losing a 2 point match to eventual 4 time state champion, Harry Lester. Chris wrestled great all weekend and improved his 6th place from a year ago to earn 3rd this year.

Tim Kelly erased the memories of 3 disappointing trips to the state tournament by becoming Reading's 2nd state champion. Tim wrestled extremely well the last two weeks of the season. He didn't have a close match for the last two weeks. This was diffenetly the time to peak. Congrats Tim!!!
