Types of cell growth
If each daughter cell that is produced is capable of producing additional cells we get exponential growth.
In plants only a small group of cells are growing, when that group of cells does not increase in number, we have linear growth
In many animals, cells grow exponentially and then stop resulting in a limited or sigmoidal growth pattern.
