The eyes meet on the top of the head and there is a distinctive targetlike marking on the upper part of the face. The thorax is light green and the abdomen is bluish.v Has a light blue thorax with some black markings and a bluish or brownish abdomen striped with black. The wings are clear except for a brown spot at the base. It is found on the wing from June to September.v!Walkingsticks have an elongate, sticklike body, 50 - 100 mm long, with long, slender legs and antennae; generally with no wings. The color is typically greenish or brownish and the mouthparts are chewing.
