From Columbus, OH.
Soo Kim graduated with a BS in Physics in 2001 from Miami U, then
stayed on to do a MS in Physics, finally graduating in 2003. She joined
the group in the Fall of 2000. The title of her MS thesis is "A
theoretical investigation of radiation trapping in optical molasses
using intensity correlations". Soo received grad school offers from the
University of Rochester and Georgia Tech, Atlanta. She is now pursuing
her PhD in physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta,
under the supervision of Dr. Michael Chapman on optical lattice and
cavity QED experiments with cold atoms.
