Matt Beeler graduated with a BS in Physics with University Honors in
2003. Matt was the proud recipient of an NSF Graduate Fellowship
in 2003. He joined the Miami MOTsquad in the fall of 2000. His Honors
thesis was entitled "Measuring intensity correlations of the light
scattered from cold atoms using photon counting". Matt received offers
from several top notch
physics PhD programs, including Univ. of Rochester, Duke, Univ. of
Wisconsin-Madison, UMichigan-Ann Arbor, Univ. of Maryland College Park,
and Rice. Matt is
currently working on BEC experiments with his PhD advisor Prof. Steve
Rolston at Univ.
of Maryland, College Park.
