Earthworms
Words
by Scott Hudson, 1996
(Tune: Farmer in
the Dell)
Earthworms eat dead
plants
Earthworms
eat dead ants.
But, without
a leg to move,
An earthworm
cannot dance.
Earthworms mix the
soil
And help reduce
the toil.
They congregate
and aerate
Without the
use of oil.
Earthworms fertilize
And help us
realize
The full potential
of the soil
Without a compromise.
Earthworms decompose
Dead matter
(like a rose)
And thus they
help enrich the soil
In
the habitat it chose.
