Words of Wisdom:

Science has something for everyone! I encourage you all to participate at some level. You probably won't like everything, but I expect you to try to find something meaningful to you. I think biology is very exciting, not because I teach it, because it has to do with all the things in the world that are alive. Science has advanced tremendously in recent years and there is an explosion of knowledge and technology. I expect all of my students to come outside of their world and keep an open mind. That is one of the most important things that you can do for yourself. Look around and ask questions, just don't expect me to have all of the answers.
