|

|
C |

|

Student grades will be based on a combination of class work, lab work, homework, quizzes, tests, projects, and reports. The number of points from these categories will vary each grading period based on the material covered. However, I will always use the same calculation to determine quarter grades:
(945 points/1000 points) X (100%) = 94.5% A
Since I am such a kind and generous teacher, every student will have the opportunity to EARN extra credit each grading period. When the time comes, I will explain the extra credit assignments. In order to receive full credit, you will have to complete all parts of the assignment as instructed. As you will learn, attention to detail is extremely important.
In order for all of us to have a successful year together, there are certain rules that we will have to follow. Most of these are common sense and you have heard them for years. But, to provide each of you with an opportunity to learn and to reduce the chances that I will get more gray hair this year, we will need to do a few simple things.
Be
respectful to me, your classmates, and
yourself.
Be
on time and ready to learn when the bell
rings.
Please
bring your materials to class each day.
Do
your own work.
Please
do not talk while I am talking to the
class.
Follow
directions carefully while performing
labs.
Remain
in your seats until the bell rings.
